Six4Schools Cricket
Wed 09 Mar 2022I am delighted to inform you that Woodcock Hill Primary School have signed up for a new initiative to support families and schools called Six4Schools introduced by the Birmingham Bears.
What is Six4Schools?
Six4Schools is an initiative by Birmingham Bears which offers adult tickets for only £12 (normally £25) for their T20 matches this summer when using a discount code unique to the school. U12s are always free and 12-15 year olds £5.
Our school will benefit because for every adult ticket sold, the school will receive £6 back. As an example, if we sell 200 adult tickets, we will receive £1200! This is meant to be used to reinvest in the education of the pupils (for e.g., for: computer equipment, playground equipment, or cricket coaching sessions).
It’s a great opportunity for the school and hopefully a chance for you to enjoy the incredible T20 atmosphere at Edgbaston this summer.
To purchase your tickets, follow the instructions below:

2. At the top of the page enter this promotional code: WHPS
3. Select the Birmingham Bears fixture you would like to attend this summer (please note the discount does not apply for the match vs. Worcestershire Rapids on June 24 2022). If you did not enter the promotional code before this can also be done here on the right-hand side of the page.
4. Select the stand in which you would like to purchase your tickets. U16s must be accompanied by an adult and for every 1 adult ticket sold, 5 U16 tickets may be selected.
5. Make your payment using your credit/debit card
You will receive your tickets via email.
As an added bonus, schools that sell over 20 tickets will be entered into a prize draw to win £1000 worth of building supplies from Selco Builders Warehouse.
It would be fantastic to see as many parents/guardians as possible take advantage of this offer to head to Edgbaston this summer to watch some exciting cricket and in the process help us win the interactive board!

Poppy Appeal
Thu 16 Dec 2021The Royal British Legion have advised us that £227.16 was raised during our Poppy Appeal sale. They were most appreciative and said our pupils "should be very proud of themselves". Thank you for your continued support for this worthy cause.

Infant Christmas Disco
Thu 16 Dec 2021Thank you to all parents/guardians who supported our EYFS and KS1 Christmas Disco. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils had a fabulous time dancing to Christmas tunes. We raised £214.00 which will be used to purchase classroom resources for pupils.

Christmas Movie Night
Thu 16 Dec 2021Junior pupils were invited to watch a Christmas Movie after school. Years 5 and 6 chose The Christmas Chronicles whilst Years 3 and 4 chose The Grinch. Pupils enjoyed a Hot Dog and drink. Ticket sales raised £328.88 which will be used for teaching and learning.

Christmas Free School Meal Vouchers

They are £30 per pupil for the two week holiday period. Please see the Guidance for Parent/Guardians below on how to claim your voucher. Vouchers expire on 7th March 2022 so please ensure you redeem them before this date.

A Message from Public Health Children and Young People Team
Tue 07 Dec 2021Healthy Child Programme: Parents/carers views required.
We would like to hear your views on our current Healthy Child Programme services in Birmingham whether you have used them or not. These include the services delivered for us by Birmingham Forward Steps so Health Visiting and Children’s Centre services. We are also interested in your views on the School Health Advisory Service (School Nurses).
The overall purpose of the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) is to reduce health inequalities and vulnerabilities for families, children and young people aged 0-19 and young people up to age 25 who have SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) or those who have left care at 18 years.
We would like to ask about your experience of the services that you might have used and if you haven’t used them, we are interested in why.
At this time the opportunity to comment is online but we are expecting to offer some creative consultations for parents/carers, children and young people to get involved with in the New Year.
Your views are very important in helping us to find out if we have got our services right and how we can make improvements for the future.
The questionnaire should take about 10 minutes of your time.

Christmas Fair

Wed 01 Dec 2021Photograph proofs have been sent home with your child. All orders are required by 3.30p.m. on Thursday 2nd December, 2021 to enable photographs to be returned in time for the Christmas holiday.
