Woodcock Hill Primary School

Motivate, Educate, Achieve

Thank you for visiting our school website.

Please read the statement from our Head Teacher, Mrs. H.J Kitaratzis (below).

On behalf of the Governors, staff and everyone involved with our school, I would like to thank you for visiting our website.  I hope that you will find it informative, easy to navigate , interesting and helpful.

At Woodcock Hill Primary School your child is at the centre of everything we do. We want your child to meet and exceed expectations.  We aim to Motivate, Educate and Achieve and to develop as individuals through our school values "We are respectful, ambitious, creative, inclusive, independent and we persevere."

I believe that  if the adults with whom children interact are enthusiastic and passionate about education, they are far more likely to have a positive outlook on their own schooling. This is a philosophy we strive to deliver and trust is re-enforced at home and outside of school.

I am proud to say that I feel we are a fully inclusive school and welcome children from all cultures, communities and backgrounds to flourish irrespective of their abilities or barriers to learning For those children that come to our school with specific needs, Mrs Nash (our SENCO ond Inclusion Manager) is available and happy to meet with you to discuss your child's specific requirements.

We have a committed team of trained Safeguarding staff and Governors and as a school, we are committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect the same from all visitors and volunteers.

We welcome and encourage appropriate communications from parents and carers, both in person or in writing and we are always happy to discuss any concerns.  I and my Deputy Head Teacher colleague (Mr. Mark Paine) personally have  an "Open Door Policy", which means we are happy to discuss any matters with you whenever we are available to. Please ask the office staff if you would like to see either or both of us,  who will happily check if we are available or arrange an appointment for us to meet.

Thank you for taking the time to read this welcome message and I hope you enjoy navigating through our website. If I or our staff and Governor team can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. H. J. Kitaratzis
